YHB Charitable Endowment

In 2002, the YHB Charitable Endowment was formed with the goal of offering an additional tool for giving back to our communities. Some YHB clients want to take a long-term approach to philanthropy, and as a result, our charitable entity was formed to facilitate the philanthropic interests of our clients. Clients establish and name their own Donor Advised Funds to simplify their charitable giving. Clients control how and when they give to the charities of their choice and maintain control over their investments. Their funds can grow, perpetuating specific values and developing into a family legacy of generosity.

YHB contributes a portion of its annual profits to a donor advised fund where employees recommend donations quarterly to charities of their choice. Some charities we have supported include:

  • Alzheimer’s Association Connecticut Chapter
  • Americares
  • Bridge Family Center
  • Clubhouse international
  • Covenant House
  • CT Humane Society
  • Danny Did Foundation
  • Doctors Without Borders USA
  • Foodshare
  • Hole in the Wall Gang
  • Leadership Greater Hartford
  • Safe Haven of Greater Waterbury
  • St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital
  • United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS)
  • Pure Water for the World
  • YMCA of Greater Hartford
  • Village for Families and Children
