A Caring Community Partner
Community Involvement plays a critical role in Baird culture. Baird associates’ passions for giving are supported in many ways. Baird Cares provides associates with an extra paid day off each year to volunteer in their communities, The Baird Foundation Matching Gift Program matches a portion of Baird associations’ nonprofit contributions, and The Brenton H. Rupple Citizenship Award honors associates who make outstanding contributions to civic, charitable, and academic organizations. The emphasis on community involvement at Baird allows associates to maintain a balance between home, community, and work.
Baird Gives Back Week in Edina
Baird associates are encouraged to participate in Baird Gives Back Week, an annual event in the spring that inspires generosity and active involvement through volunteer opportunities. This year, the Edina Branch supported The Simpson House—a community based organization whose mission is to house, support, and advocate for people experiencing homelessness in the Minneapolis area. The branch had 18 associates participate in gathering "Welcome Baskets" which are given to families moving into a new home.
With Open Arms
Open Arms of Minnesota is a nonprofit organization that prepares and delivers medically tailored meals at no cost to critically ill Minnesotans and their loved ones. Our Edina office went to the Minneapolis kitchen, preparing meals for delivery, and also sent out a team to their farm to start planting.
