Melissa began her career in the financial services industry in 1989 at Hilliard Lyons, where she developed a strong foundation in client service and operations. She has been a valued member of what is now known as The Perry Group since 1994, when she joined financial advisor Mike Jennings (now retired), and later, Shawn Perry, in 1999.

With over 35 years of experience, Melissa brings a wealth of practical knowledge and insight to her role as Senior Client Specialist. Her career has been shaped by hands-on learning, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to serving clients with care and professionalism.

Melissa is known for her personalized approach, efficiently addressing client inquiries and building lasting relationships through trust and reliability. Her dedication and expertise make her an essential part of our team.

Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending time with her daughter.

Desmond is a Client Specialist at The Perry Group, where he is passionate about serving clients with care, attentiveness, and thoughtful communication. He enjoys building relationships with clients and appreciates the opportunity to be a steady, helpful resource - whether they have a financial question or simply need someone to listen.

Desmond has already been part of the Baird family for the past couple of years and values the culture, camaraderie, and team spirit he has found here. His background in the military helped shape his appreciation for teamwork, discipline, communication, and strategic planning. He brings that same steady, service-minded approach to his work with clients and teammates, taking time to understand how each person prefers to communicate and be supported.

Originally from Glasgow, Kentucky, Desmond came to Bowling Green to attend Western Kentucky University and quickly grew to love the community. He and his fiancée, Kaitlyn, have planted roots here and are excited to continue building their life in Bowling Green. Outside of the office, Desmond enjoys spending time outdoors, fishing, hunting, walking their dogs, and visiting national parks with Kaitlyn.
