Chad Disbennett, CFP^® is a nationally-recognized Financial Educator, Author, Speaker and Retirement Income Specialist. You may have seen him in NBC, ABC, CBS and FOX network affiliates, as well as Columbus Business First, Business Courier, Wall Street Journal Market Watch, Yahoo Finance, and Wall Street Select, among others.

As the Co-Author of RETIRE ABUNDANTLY, BUILD WEALTH Like A SHARK and RETIRE Like A SHARK, Chad has been interviewed by Kevin Harrington, the Inventor of the Infomercial, As Seen on TV guy, and the Original Shark from ABC TV's smash hit series, Shark Tank, as well as James Malinchak, one of the most requested, in-demand business and motivational keynote speakers in the world featured on ABC TV’s Secret Millionaire.

Chad is the Founder and CEO of Disbennett Wealth Management Group, and the creator of The Wealth With Clarity^TM Process, a transformative wealth enhancement process to help Business Owners, Executives, Health Care Professionals, and Independent Women, learn how to preserve, protect, and pass on their wealth.

With a background in education, Chad created The Wealth With Clarity^TM Process to help his clients better understand the sometimes-confusing world of Financial Planning. He is a true financial “Coach” in that he thoroughly enjoys learning about his clients and their needs, and then finding the best strategies to fit those needs. As opposed to simply being an advisor, he is a true guide to his clients, and looks to form long lasting relationships.

Chad graduated from the College of Business at the University of Cincinnati, and then continued his education at Capital University in the realm of business education. He holds several securities and insurance designations, and completed the rigorous training necessary to become a Certified Financial Planner™ Practitioner.

As an NCAA Division I All-American in Track and Field, and a former AMA National Hillclimb Champion, Chad truly understands the meaning of hard work and commitment. He puts that same passion and effort into helping his clients each and every day.

Some of the activities that Chad enjoys are participating in Lancaster Rotary, supporting the local schools and their athletic programs, speaking, travelling, golfing, snowboarding, and exercising. More than anything though, Chad enjoys spending time with his wife Danielle who he happily married in 2001, along with their children, Danica and Cooper.

Jim Hesseling joined our team in April of 2023, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team. His focus on helping retirees and his passion for assisting people in achieving their financial goals make him a valuable asset.

Starting his career in 1999 with Morgan Stanley, Jim gained valuable experience in the banking industry. He then moved on to become a Program Manager and Vice President at The First National Bank of Waverly, where he served a growing list of clients as a Financial and Investment Advisor. After more than 23 years in the banking industry, Jim sought a firm that could better align with his values and provide enhanced services to his clients.

“I’ve always known that there were more things that I could be doing for the people that I serve,” Jim confided, “and it became my mission to find a firm that could help me make a bigger impact on the lives of the people that have put their trust and faith in me as their advisor and coach. That mission led me to Disbennett Wealth Management Group, where I feel like I’ve finally found my home.”

Jim earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Tiffin University. Additionally, he completed courses in financial planning to further solidify his expertise in the field.

Outside of his professional life, Jim enjoys a fulfilling personal life. He is happily married to his lovely wife, Kenna, and he has 3 children. Jim actively participates in his son’s baseball team as a coach, demonstrating his commitment to his family and the community. Jim also enjoys golfing, camping, and spending quality time with loved ones and friends.

Nicole joined the Disbennett team in October 2016 to help manage the office, working hand-in-hand with Chad to help improve efficiency, develop effective processes and procedures, provide exceptional service to our clients and cultivate the business. Having focused on marketing for more than 15 years, Nicole brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team.

Nicole is service oriented and is used to wearing many hats. Being very organized with excellent communication skills, she thrives in an environment that offers variety and demands attention to detail. Nicole enjoys helping people while supporting the operations of the company.

Nicole earned a Master’s Degree in Sociology and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Communication with a double minor in Business Administration and Sociology from Ohio University. She enjoys spending time with her husband Steve, and their five children, as well as volunteering for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fairfield County, the Fairfield Area Humane Society and various other philanthropic organizations. Nicole also enjoys visiting her alma matter in Athens, Ohio where her two oldest daughters attended and her youngest daughter currently attends.

Peggylou became a part of Disbennett Wealth Management as a Service Assistant in March 2024, bringing with her a rich background. Originally hailing from Brooklyn, New York, she grew up in a bustling household of 18. Remarkably, she finished high school at just 15 years of age and embarked on her Business Administration studies at OSU.

Midway through her college journey, Peggylou answered the call to serve her country, enlisting in the Army. For 22 years she dedicated herself to the role of an Emergency Medical Evacuation Specialist, rising to the rank of Master Sergeant before serious injury forced her into retirement. Following a 19-month recovery, she pivoted her career towards administration where she excelled. Her attention to detail and processes has perfectly positioned her to manage the daily operations of the office.

Peggylou earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Hospital Management from the University of Phoenix, as well as several certifications and licensures in the medical field. While she moved around a lot during her military career, she decided to return to Ohio to be closer to her family in 2021.

Her family circle is extensive and cherished, encompassing a daughter, a grandson, two nephews whom she raised from primary school, now with nine children of their own. Peggylou enjoys taking long road trips on her motorcycle, fishing and attending wine socials. She welcomes a challenge and finds enjoyment in teaching computer and clerical skills.

Danielle joined Disbennett Wealth Management in May of 2012 in an official part-time capacity. After working at Kilbarger Construction for more than 16 years, Danielle brings a wealth of knowledge to our team in the realm of office administration. Her main focus is on accounting and general office administration. Danielle is a certified group and personal trainer, nutritionist, and has held an Ohio Life and Health Insurance license and AHIP Medicare Certification.

Danielle splits her time between staying at home with her children, Danica and Cooper, and working at Disbennett Wealth Management Group with her wonderful, handsome, intelligent, and thoughtful husband Chad…who I might add, wrote this bio. Danielle really enjoys meeting and interacting with all of our clients.

Alexis Holland joined Disbennett Wealth Management as an Executive Assistant in February 2026. In her role, she supports the team by helping manage daily operations, coordinate processes, and deliver exceptional service to clients.

Alexis brings a strong background in healthcare administration and operations, with experience supporting executive leadership, managing complex workflows, and coordinating people and processes with accuracy and discretion. Prior to joining the firm, she served in executive administrative and HR support roles, where she assisted with recruiting, onboarding, compliance, and program coordination. Her ability to stay organized, adapt quickly, and communicate effectively allows her to thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining a high level of detail and professionalism.

Alexis earned her Master of Healthcare Administration and Bachelor of Science in Integrated Healthcare Studies from Ohio University. She also holds certifications in BLS/CPR, Quality and Safety Improvement, and Responsible Conduct of Research.

Outside of work, Alexis enjoys spending time with her husband, Shane, and their two children, Peyton and Paisley. She loves cheering on her kids at their sporting events, as well as enjoying time with their two dogs, Petey & Pablo.
