Last autumn, I was on a sibling trip in Page, Arizona. My brothers live in Arizona and had been to Page, but I had not. We wanted to explore the famous slot sandstone canyons, like Antelope Canyon, and other sights. Heavy rains hit, so our slot canyon hikes were sharply abbreviated, but Horseshoe Bend beckoned us! During the late afternoon we walked to the cliffside high above the Colorado River. We laid on our bellies for about an hour while gazing out over the cliff ‘s edge watching the sun slowly set over the u-shaped bend in the river 1000 feet below us. I captured this photo during this glorious moment in time.

We went on a 10 day trip to Italy in July 2026. Our first stop of the trip was Stresa Italy on Lake Maggiore (northern Italy). This is where 60 family members from all over the world met for a family reunion. Our first group outing was to Isola Bella on Lake Maggiore. We toured the Palazzo Borromeo palace and then headed to the Gardens. The garden had the Teatro Massimo (monumental wall) in the background and beautiful plants, trees, flowers all around but these white peacocks really caught our attention. One peacock, on the right lawn, didn't pay much attention to us and just sat on the lawn. The peacock in the picture was on the left side of the lawn and was really putting on a show.  We all were trying to snap a picture of this amazing bird and for a quick moment we were able to get this face to face picture. This was such a special trip for our family, and we are so happy to be able to share this amazing moment.

My wife and I took a trip to the La Condesa area of Mexico City in January to celebrate a friend’s birthday.  After that part of the trip we added a few days in San Miguel de Allende, which is noted for its picturesque cobblestone streets and sunsets. After dinner at a rooftop restaurant near the San Miguel Cathedral, we began our walk back to the home we had rented. The colors from the sunset and the reflection off the stone streets made for a memorable picture.
