Jonathan A. Jagolinzer, CFP®, CRPC®, CPWA®, EA
Co-Founder & Principal
Jonathan is Co-Founder and Principal of Avantis Private Wealth, bringing more than two decades of experience in wealth management, financial planning, and tax strategy. He works with business owners, executives with concentrated stock positions, real estate investors, and families navigating complex financial decisions and major life transitions.
Jonathan earned his bachelor's degree in economics from The George Washington University and began his career at Ameriprise Financial, where he earned the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® (CRPC®) designation. In 2011, he became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional through The American College of Financial Services. He later earned the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) designation through the Investment & Wealth Institute, reflecting his focus on the advanced planning needs of high-net-worth individuals and families. He is also a member of the Financial Planning Association.
Jonathan also holds the IRS Enrolled Agent (EA) designation, which brings a deeper level of tax insight into his planning process. Rather than treating tax as a separate or reactive function, he integrates it directly into investment management, retirement planning, and estate considerations — building one cohesive plan designed to improve efficiency, reduce unnecessary liabilities, and support and preserve wealth over time.
Outside of the office, Jonathan enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and cooking — often experimenting with new cuisines. Originally from Newport, Rhode Island, he has lived in the Washington, DC area since college and now resides in Falls Church, Virginia, with his wife, Jennifer, and their dogs, Penny and Cooper.
Our Extended Team
Planning for growth. Structured for taxes. Built as one strategy.
A financial plan that doesn't account for what you keep isn't really a plan.
