Mike Bagby

Mike Bagby, founder and manager of Bagby Wealth Management, has been actively and successfully involved in the financial services industry since 1982. His expertise comes from a strong educational background in finance and economics combined with specialized financial services training and more than 34 years of professional experience.

Mike was 16 when he began learning about the securities markets while working and studying at his fathers firm, Agricultural Consultants, Inc. He continued his financial education at Southeast Missouri State University, graduating in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance and a minor in Economics. After graduation, Mike worked at a national full-service brokerage company where he obtained his general securities representative license. He opened an independent branch office as a registered representative in 1984 and then in 1994 established Bagby Investment Consultants as a Registered Investment Advisory* (RIA) firm - now known as Bagby Wealth Management.

Mike specializes in providing investment management and investment advice, bringing clients his expertise in comprehensive retirement and estate planning. He also provides knowledgeable guidance in the areas of institutional investment management, tax planning, asset protection, and the management of family wealth.

Mike holds Series 7, 24, and 63 securities registrations. He holds both life insurance agent and brokers licenses. Mike was honored to have been grandfathered in as a Registered Investment Advisor* due to his years of experience in the financial field, educational background, and previous registrations.

He remains active in the community as a member of the Dexter Chamber of Commerce and Dexter Regional Healthcare Foundation. He is a former member of the Dexter Public Schools Advisory Committee, the Girl Scout Area Council Finance Committee, and the Rotary Club, where he served as president. He and his family are members of First Baptist Church where he has served on numerous committees.

Mike and his wife Cathy live in Dexter, MO where they raised their two grown children, Britney and Ryan.
