I started my career in financial services back in 1992, after spending several successful years in beer and wine distribution. That earlier experience taught me a lot about building relationships and understanding what people really need, lessons that have served me well throughout my three decades in this industry.

What drives me every day is the opportunity to be more than just a financial advisor to my clients—I genuinely care about them as friends and extended family. I've found that when you take the time to truly understand someone's life, their dreams, and their concerns, you can help them not just achieve their financial goals, but actually live their best life along the way.

My approach to portfolio construction is pretty straightforward: I build personalized investment strategies using a mix of mutual funds and ETFs, always tailored to each client's unique needs, timeline, objectives, and risk tolerance. I believe in keeping things simple and focusing on what actually works, rather than getting caught up in complicated strategies that don't serve my clients well.

In August of 2025, I joined the team here at Pilot Rock Financial Advisors as the first step toward my eventual retirement. I'm excited to collaborate with Rick Wilson II, Cindy Wilson, and Ryan Wilson—they're good people who share my commitment to putting clients first. It feels like the perfect place to continue serving my clients with the same dedication and heart that have always defined my approach to this work.

When I'm not in the office, I love playing poker and have dreams of one day entering the World Series of Poker. I also enjoy hiking, walking, and following various sports. But what I treasure most is time with my two daughters and my two grandchildren, who are both active in 4H raising beef. My granddaughter has made me incredibly proud by earning the title of Clark County Fair Grand Champion four years running—that's the kind of dedication and excellence I admire.

The social connections I've built with clients over the years are what make this work so rewarding. Even as I look toward retirement, I plan to continue those relationships because they've become such an important part of my life.
