Helping Families Navigate Wealth with Confidence Across Generations

Cathie Galbraith Coleman is a Texas‑based CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and Managing Director of the Galbraith Coleman Group at Baird Private Wealth Management. She works with multi‑generational families, individuals, and business owners, helping them simplify financial complexity through comprehensive wealth management, estate planning, and tax‑efficient strategies.

Cathie began her career as a financial advisor in 2005, joining her father to continue his legacy of client‑first advice and highly personalized service. Together, they built a multi‑generational advisory practice rooted in long‑term stewardship, trust and thoughtful planning. After earning her CFP® certification in 2007, Cathie became known for her clarity‑driven approach, strong client advocacy, and deep understanding of family dynamics.

Today, as leader of the Galbraith Coleman Group, Cathie integrates advanced planning—including trust strategies, estate and retirement planning, and tax‑focused wealth management—with customized portfolio design. She works closely with clients across Texas and beyond, helping them make thoughtful, informed decisions through every stage of life.

Cathie earned her BSBA in International Management from Georgetown University (cum laude) and attended the MBA program at SMU Cox School of Business. Prior to entering financial services, she spent 13 years as an entrepreneur, owning and operating Blue Drake Outfitters, a specialty fly‑fishing and adventure‑travel business—experience that continues to inform her work with business owners and families.

She splits her time between Fort Worth and Abilene, Texas where she and her husband manage family ranch operations and remain active in their communities. Cathie has served on boards including St. John’s Episcopal School and The Community Foundation of Abilene, and co‑founded First Serve, a youth tennis program for refugee families and later volunteered with the Young Men’s Service League across North Texas.

Outside the office, Cathie is passionate about outdoor adventure—including skiing, hiking, fly fishing, and tennis. Notable milestones include summiting Mount Kilimanjaro (19,341 feet) in 2014 and heli‑skiing in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado with her son in 2026.

At the core of Cathie’s work is a belief that thoughtful planning and intentional stewardship create greater confidence, freedom, and purpose—today and for generations to come.
