Alan has resided in Longview, Texas, since he was eight years old, moving with his family from Beaumont in 1965. He started school in the third grade at Pine Tree, where he played basketball as a PT Pirate and graduated in 1976. He then attended Kilgore Junior College for two years, playing basketball as a KC Ranger. In 1980, Alan graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in Accounting. Shortly after that, he started his career working in the tax and accounting field, receiving his certification as a CPA in 1990. In 1992, Alan received his securities licenses 6 and 63 to become a Registered Representative. Alan is currently a Registered Representative of LPL Financial and has a broad range of experience in the financial services industry. He can assist clients with wealth management, financial planning, and investment services, including mutual funds, life insurance, and annuities. Alan is also a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
In his free time, Alan plays golf as often as possible. With his wife, Robin, Alan enjoys life, country dancing, traveling, and spending time with their family. They have four children, their spouses, and seven grandchildren so far. They cherish their golf buddies, dance groups, and all their friends. They attend NewBeginnings Baptist Church, and Alan feels blessed by God in all they do.
