Knox Financial Services Supports Fire Departments

We deeply appreciate the dedication, sacrifice, and courage of volunteer firefighters who selflessly serve and protect their communities.

Jason’s admiration for fire service began with his grandfather, Leallen Knox, a proud member of the Wadena-Illyria Fire Department.  We admire and respect firefighters and the vital role they play in keeping communities safe.

Jason and Amber Knox are committed to giving back to the communities they serve. Through their Fire Department Support Program, clients have the opportunity to nominate their favorite fire department to receive a charitable donation. By supporting these dedicated organizations, we hope to honor the men and women who stand ready to help others in times of need and ensure they have the resources necessary to continue their important work.

Nominate your fire department via the form below.  If selected, Knox Financial Services will donate $250 to your Fire Department.   An easy way to help your favorite Fire Department.

Financial donations are just one way to make a difference.

Volunteering can often be even more valuable, as many volunteer fire departments have plenty of tasks but never enough hands to complete them all. Offering your skills—whether it’s handyman work, computer expertise, organization, cleaning, setting up tables and chairs, making calls, mailing envelopes, or any other contribution—can be incredibly helpful. Reach out to the organization to see how your abilities can best support their mission.

Amber and I have pitched in by carrying tables and chairs, selling tickets, cleaning buildings, painting, handling carpentry work, securing vendors, providing transportation, preparing meals, moving supplies, and even visiting landfills. We understand that giving back doesn’t always mean writing a check—there are countless ways to make an impact.

Simply getting involved will strengthen the organization you want to support.

If you are involved in a charitable organization that needs volunteer help, please contact us to see if we may help.  Our team is committed to making a better community.

Fire Department Support Program Guidelines
Knox Financial Services makes charitable contributions to selected volunteer fire departments on an ongoing basis. Submission of a nomination does not guarantee that a contribution will be made. All contributions are made at the sole discretion of Knox Financial Services, and we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue this program at any time.

To be eligible for consideration, a nominated organization must:

Be an active volunteer fire department;
Provide services within the greater Midwest region; and
Be nominated by an existing Knox Financial Services client.
For purposes of this program, an existing client is an individual or household receiving ongoing fee-based financial planning or investment management services under a current agreement with Knox Financial Services. We determine eligibility at our sole discretion.  Knox Financial Services reserves the right to approve or decline any nomination. Factors that may influence our decision include, but are not limited to:

Potential conflicts of interest;
Previous contributions to the nominated fire department;
Alignment with our charitable giving mission and priorities; or
Other considerations deemed relevant by our directors.
If a nominated fire department does not meet the program criteria, the client will be notified and may submit an alternative nomination for consideration. If a fire department has recently received a contribution from Knox Financial Services, the client may choose to have the nomination considered later.

Nominations are generally reviewed in the order received. However, we may make exceptions for special circumstances, including time-sensitive fundraising campaigns, fiscal year-end considerations, matching gift opportunities, emergency equipment needs, or other factors that warrant an adjusted timeline.

While we strive to support as many qualifying volunteer fire departments as possible, we make contributions according to a planned giving schedule designed to ensure the long-term sustainability.

Our Directors review all nominations. Clients will be notified whether their nomination has been approved or declined and, if approved, when the fire department is scheduled to receive a contribution.
