Financial Planning for Athletes
I
A New Era in Sports Has Begun
NIL (Name, Image and Likeness) legislation now gives athletes the ability to earn money through endorsements, appearances and social media. Since becoming permissible in 2021, NIL has continued to evolve, creating new opportunities for athletes to be compensated for their athletic talent, ease financial stress and support their families. Additionally, athletes are able to build real‑world skills such as greater financial literacy, creating and managing personal wealth and capitalizing on their own personal brand. As national standards continue to take shape, NIL is becoming an increasingly meaningful part of athletes’ financial and personal development. We have former athletes on our team and athletes in our families, so we understand the sacrifices and time required to reach elite levels. Our goal is to provide you confidence and security in your financial future, so you can devote time to what you do best. Big opportunities deserve a bigger game plan. As a proud partner of Advance NIL, we equip athletes and their families with the unbiased education and expert financial guidance needed to navigate NIL with confidence. Education & Awareness
Awareness sessions for athletes, teams, and parents that explain the NIL landscape, the key advisory professional athletes should work with, and practical resources you can share within your family or athletic program. These sessions are intended to cover topics such as preparing for professional life, 529 Plan options, financial aid and scholarships, and of course NIL fundamentals.
A base 30‑minute exploratory presentation with Q&A designed to help families dive deeper and get the answers they need.
Financial Literacy & Planning
Athletes and families can receive guidance on cash‑flow management, saving and investing strategies, long‑term planning and risk and fraud protection. We help athletes understand how endorsement income fits into their broader financial future both on and off the field. This includes budgeting for seasonal income changes, evaluating endorsement timing and protecting earnings through good financial habits.
Tax & Entity Support
Compensation can create new tax and reporting obligations for athletes and parents. Our team can assist in coordinating introductions to trusted CPAs, discuss when it may be appropriate to consider forming a Trust, LLC, or other entity and foster prompt communication across all advisory resource partners. This integrated approach ensures families make informed decisions with professional support every step of the way.
Team Pathways
Supporting an elite athlete is a family commitment. It also is one that extends to coaches, athletic directors and community leaders. We help not only the families prepare but extend our reach into the local school system delivering awareness and education that aligns with high‑school pathways for prospective college athletes. From feeder programs on up into success-driven high-school programs, athletic and life skills are cultivated. If you play a role in the process, we would like nothing better than to get to know you.
