Michael joined Baird in July 1988 and has been serving clients in the financial services industry ever since. His areas of expertise include investment consulting, retirement planning and portfolio construction.
“The key is to help clients analyze how individual investments and strategies fit into the bigger picture and help them achieve their goals,” says Michael. “My investment philosophy is to continually evaluate each client’s investment needs and construct an investment portfolio that reflects the individual’s time horizon and risk profile.”
Michael holds a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan. He has also earned his Certified Investment Management Analyst® designation from the Wharton School and Certified Retirement Counselor™ designation. Active in his community, Michael is a current Forest Hills Public School Board of Education Trustee. He is a former FHPS Foundation trustee, and a former Director/President at Cascade Hills Country Club.
Michael and his wife, Suzy, live in Grand Rapids. His five adult children (Alex, David, Chelsea, Lindsay and Brittany) live in the area so he's never short of family time. Mike also received the title of grandpa with the addition of a set twin grandchildren, Ryder and Piper. In December of 2018, he welcomed his third grandchild Briar! In his leisure time, Michael enjoys golfing, construction projects and spending time with family and friends.
