I am the President and founder of The Wingerd Financial Group. With over 34 years of experience in the financial services industry, I specialize in retirement planning, tax planning, executive compensation plans, and business owner transition plans. My career path has been shaped by valuable experiences at American Express Financial Advisors and Royal Alliance Associates, where I honed my skills and deepened my understanding of financial strategies.
I hold professional designations as a Certified Financial Planner ( CFP®), a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and a Chartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL).
My wife Heidi and I have been together for 39 years and split our time between Naples, FL; St Croix Falls, WI; and St Paul, MN. We have three adult children – Jack, Andy, and Matthew and one grandchild – Johnny. Outside of the office, I am actively involved in several organizations that strive to make the world a better place and provide kids with educational opportunities. I enjoy golfing, playing pickleball, and walking. I'm also an avid fan of Minnesota sports, cheering on the Gophers, Vikings, Twins, and Wild.
