Many countries, including the US and China, two of the biggest energy consumers on the globe, promising to decrease their net-carbon emissions to zero in the near future, the growth in demand could be exponential. Furthermore, the possible job growth in this industry could be a game-changer for many economies.
There are two main investment types available to most investors- stocks and bonds. In the world of Socially Responsible Investments there is far more variety of stock investments available than there are bonds. So if you’re specifically concerned with investing for a specific cause, say Social Justice, your options are currently quite limited. Regardless, there are close to a handful of bond types that I think could be considered as Social Justice oriented. Carrie explains the criteria to look for when looking to invest in a bond focused on promoting Social Justice.
