Security is one of the pillars upon which eMoney Advisor was built, and we are proud of the system we have implemented to protect the security and integrity of your data throughout every component of the eMoney Advisor service. Your data is secured through a combination of technology, system design and architecture and strict policies and procedures. The below material explains some of the measures used to protect your data. Firewalls – All eMoney Advisor equipment and applications are secured behind firewalls. Firewalls are security devices that create a barrier between the wide-open Internet and the equipment and applications used by eMoney Advisor. Firewalls limit ways that can inflict harm on data, equipment or applications. All traffic detected to and from eMoney’s system must pass through these firewalls, including access from the eMoney Advisor intranet. The firewalls are also used to separate databases containing your data from eMoney's web and application servers. Intrusion Detection - The entire production network is monitored and policed for intrusion attempts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Any detected intrusion attempts are analyzed to determine the identity of the intruders and the extent of the intrusion. Password Protection and Data Security - Every user's password and account data are stored and transmitted in an encrypted format at all times across multiple, distributed database systems, all securely housed at a state of the art third party hosting service that provides enhanced physical security, fire protection and electronic shielding. No one but the user has access to such user’s password. Audits and Inspections - The eMoney Advisor security infrastructure is regularly audited and inspected to ensure the security tools utilized are up to date. Physical Security - eMoney Advisor provides its service from a secure environment operated by a third-party hosting service. Security personnel monitor the system 24 hours a day. Access to servers requires multiple levels of authentication, including biometrics (finger print scanning) procedures to enter the production hosting facility. eMoney Advisor restricts physical access to its equipment to a very select group of authorized personnel only.

We use a number of moving averages as we evaluate the trends. Most often we utilize a double crossover of the thirteen-day exponential moving average relative to the fifty-day exponential moving average. If the thirteen-day moving average is greater than or above the fifty-day moving average then we consider that trended in.
Exponential moving averages are generally more sensitive to recent data and we believe have less lag time. Simple moving averages are derived by computing the average price of a security over that time period. A simple moving average has very little consideration or sensitivity to the recent data or current trend of the holding.
We use a number of technical indicators such as MACD and RSIWilder, Relative Performance and many others. The MACD indicator was created by Gerlad Appel’s. It is a chart derived from the twelve-day Exponential Moving Average less the twenty-six day Exponential Moving Average. In addition, a nine day EMA is plotted as the signal line and helps to identify turns.
We use RSIwilder which is an oscillator comparing the magnitude of a stock's recent gains to the magnitude of its recent losses on a scale from 0 to 100. Overbought and oversold lines are plotted on the chart to be used in consideration of recent bullish or bearish signals.
We use TD Ameritrade. We believe that they are a technology leader in the industry, with tools made for the institutional advisor as opposed to the retail advisor. TD Ameritrade provides intuitive platforms that provide us with exceptional trading ability, excellent charting functionality, heat mapping, etf and equity scanning just to name a few items. In addition, they provide us and our clients with superb service and have been ranked #1 with Barron’s and SmartMoney.
Each of our clients accounts are managed as their own individual accounts and is not part of an overall pooled portfolio. All account titles or registrations are kept separate. For instance, an individual with a trust, IRA, and Roth account would have three separate accounts for each of them.
